There are about 6.1 million women in the United States, or 10 percent of woman who are in the reproductive age group, are infertile, according to the most recent figures from the Federal Government’s National Center for Health Statistics. Of these, about 600, 000 have tried assisted reproductive technology (ART) in their attempt to bear children.

There are currently more than 7.3 million Americans suffering from infertility. That figure equates to 1 in 8 couples battling this devastating health crisis. However, despite the vast number of people suffering from this disease, there is a serious lack of education and a real need for increased awareness of the causes of infertility, available treatment options, and methods of prevention.

The cost of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) including In Vitro Fertilization is staggering. In fact, the national average cost of infertility treatments is $15,000. Unlike other diseases and their treatments, though, infertility is not recognized by the medical insurance industry. Without the aid of medical insurance or other financial support systems, the cost of infertility treatments precludes the majority of the population suffering from this disease from seeking treatment.

Now, you can make a difference in the infertility community with a 100% tax-deductible contribution to Free-IVF.com’s Send A Stork Campaign. Click on the link below to make a gift online or you may send your contribution via regular mail to:
